As we go on through life we find some things, like jobs, aren't forever. No matter how much we strive to give 100% no one remembers how great of a job that has been done for them. Although friends can be found in the work place the thing at hand is, does any one give a rip about the work I've performed? they should, I think. Talking to some of the people whom I've worked with they feel they can say the same as I 'you are just another number'. If so I'll just go out and find something that makes me feel better as a worker here in the great U.S.A. Take care of you & only you, keep a dream close by at all times, and remember I do care about all of us, we must be strong in this day and time- nothing is promised. Tomorrow is a new day and anything is possible, so good luck. Till I'm able to post again, take care.

THERE IS ALWAYS something to look foward to when getting a load somewhere. I'm the type of person who is driven by adventure. I took my wife on a trip to Nevada, she had never been there before (this was long befor 9-11) I took her across the Hoover dam hoping she would like it, instead looking 600 feet down she simply said 'oh hell no I'll be in the sleeper!'. I tell her please come back up here & take some pictures.'You take them' she says. I laughed under my breath for I've been across the dam several times before. We travelled on to LAS VEGAS and spent the night, she enjoyed all the lights and the feeling of life here was so great to both of us. The next morning we travelled to the place to drop the load. It is times like this I love spending on the road. It takes so much for us to hold back our love of being together. There are so many things to see in the great U.S.A. and to share all this with someone who is a great part of your life is very special to me. So should you get the bug to run wild &free, grab you someone you care about & get on down the road. Just a reminder from mine to yours please be safe & wach for those who aren't. Y'all have fun now!

A Bit of Life's Worry

As we all know life has its ups & downs. Sometime ago, in the 90s, I had just arrived at a plant in Port Arthur, TX with another friend of mine. He & I just came back to TEXAS and we were going to drop the trailers at the plant & head for some much needed home time. like I said life's ups &down, well on the way home I had a call from my younger brother. I heard him say 'where are you?' I said I'm about to go to the house for a few days, why do you ask? there was a pause then he said 'are you sitting down?' .WHY? I SAID. 'Well baby brother was going to work this morning and caught someone trying to steal his stereo out of his pickup'. Baby brother didn't know what was going on -until the man shot him. Being a very strong young man he didn't go down- the man shot him four more times. He was lifeflighted to Herman hospital in HOUSTON,TX. When I arrived my baby brother was awake and talking to other family members. None of the bullets had hit any major organs. One of the bullets was lodged in his skull and another was lodged in his shoulder, the other three were removed without any major damage. After hugging him & makeing sure he was going to be ok I was relieved and was able to return home knowing he was going to be fine. He still has those two bullets in his body, a reminder of one horrible morning when simply walking out of the house to go to work became a nightmare.
